We process all payments via our third-party payment processor, Tipalti and Payoneer. To receive your payments, you will need to set up an account with either of these two service providers and set a minimum payout amount ($20 or $100).
Payout cycles for FLASH Opinion and EXPERT Interview (according to Japan Standard Time):

FLASH Opinion*
- For engagements completed in the first half of each month (1st to 15th): Processed on the 16th of that month
- For engagements completed in the second half of each month (16th to end of the month): Processed on the 1st of the following month
*Due to time differences, some payouts may be processed together with the other payouts in the subsequent payout period.

EXPERT Interview
- For engagements completed in the first half of each month (1st to 15th): Processed on the 1st of the following month
- For engagements completed in the second half of each month (16th to end of the month): Processed on the 16th of the following month
All FLASH Opinion and EXPERT Interview payments will be processed on the next business day if the scheduled processing dates fall on a weekend or public holiday.
On the day we process payments, we send bulk payments to both our payment processing partners, along with a list of final recipients. Each processor separately processes these payments through their banking partners. As we do not have any visibility or control over the order in which those payments are processed, it may take 3–5 business days for payments to be reflected in your Tipalti or Payoneer account dashboards. During this time, the payment period tracker on the website may show a later period, but please be assured that it is intended for general reference and does not reflect the actual status.
Once you are in your Tipalti or Payoneer account, initiate a manual transfer to your bank account or e-wallet. In certain cases, you may leave standing instructions to send the money to the final destination of your choice.
Please note that all fees related to payment processing, as well as any additional fees incurred when transferring funds to your personal bank account, are borne by the expert. With regard to the latter, a fixed transfer fee is typically applied. The amount of this fee is determined by the expert’s bank and Tipalti or Payoneer (and their respective correspondent banks).
On payment statuses:
- A payment status of “outstanding” means that your payment has yet to reach your Tipalti/Payoneer account, either because it is currently being processed or because it will be at the next payout cycle.
- A payment status of “processed” means that your payment has been deposited into your Tipalti/Payoneer account.
